I find Walgreens fascinating.\u00a0 I’ve been a customer on and off for years, and they are currently my pharmacy of choice.\u00a0 Walgreens makes managing my prescriptions a dream.\u00a0 I’m particularly impressed with how quickly and easily I’m able to order a refill using the Walgreens app barcode reader.<\/p>\n
But there’s trouble in paradise.\u00a0 Recently, we started getting phone calls at our home number from Walgreens telling us we’re due for a refill.\u00a0\u00a0 This is the Walgreens Refill Service<\/em> phone system.\u00a0\u00a0 I really<\/em> don’t want unsolicited phone calls at my home, and I am perfectly able to determine when I need refills.\u00a0 I want the calls to stop.<\/p>\n So today, after another call arrived, I logged into the www.walgreens.com website and began the search for a setting that would disable the refill calls.\u00a0 I was unable to find the setting, and so I wound up calling Walgreens customer service line.<\/p>\n I’m happy to report that,\u00a0 after a significant hold, a very nice lady took my information and entered a request in Walgreen’s system to stop the phone calls.\u00a0 She indicated that it would take about 48 hours for the calls to stop.<\/p>\n I’ll report back on whether or not the calls stop, but for now, here’s the scoop on how to request the calls to stop:<\/p>\n I hope sincerely that the calls stop, and I can resume my consumer love affair with an amazing retailer.<\/p>\n 10\/31\/2015: As mentioned above, I did call Walgreen’s customer support, and I requested no more calls to my household.\u00a0 I’m happy to report, that I have not received any more reminder calls from Walgreens.\u00a0 Nicely done, Walgreens!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I find Walgreens fascinating.\u00a0 I’ve been a customer on and off for years, and they are currently my pharmacy of choice.\u00a0 Walgreens makes managing my prescriptions a dream.\u00a0 I’m particularly impressed with how quickly and easily I’m able to order a refill using the Walgreens app barcode reader.
